This is the "you only have one full day" Wuyishan plan. It hits the three visual headliners plus a tasting, without the sense that you ran through a checklist.
06:30 — early start, early breakfast
Hotels around the south gate will pack a takeaway breakfast if you ask the night before. Be at the south gate by 07:15.
07:30 — first shuttle to Tianyou Peak
Up by 08:30, down by 10:00. Cool air, empty stairs.
10:30 — shuttle to Nine-Bend Stream
Book the 11:00 bamboo raft slot — mid-morning rafts are the sweet spot for light and warmth without the 09:00 mist chill. 1h40 drift down to the Sixth Bend.
13:00 — lunch at Xingcun or Sangu
River fish with bamboo shoots, a bowl of Wuyishan tea rice. Keep it under an hour.
14:30 — Da Hong Pao Scenic Area
Shaded gorge loop — Mother Trees viewpoint, Tianxin Yongle Temple, boutique tea gardens. 2 hours.
17:00 — tasting flight in Sangu
A dedicated yán chá teahouse on Qilin Road will walk you through three grades of Da Hong Pao in small gaiwan with proper water temp. 60–90 minutes.
19:00 — dinner, optional Impression Dahongpao
If you have the evening, the 19:30 show is the coherent ending. If you need to catch a late train, dinner and HSR out.
