Itineraries

  • 2 Days in Quanzhou for Maritime Heritage

Two days is the sweet spot for Quanzhou if you're coming from Xiamen (25 min by HSR) or Fuzhou (50 min). The city will give you more if you stay longer, but this covers the UNESCO core plus the two most characteristic outer sites.

  • 3 Days in Quanzhou Beyond the Old-Town Core

Three days lets you go beyond the checklist. Day 1 is the old-town UNESCO walk; day 2 goes east to the coast; day 3 is a choice between mountain Taoism (Qingyuan Mountain and the Laozi statue) or sea-fortress history (Chongwu).

  • 3 Days in Wuyi Mountains for Tea and Scenery

Three days is the right depth for Wuyishan if you want both the scenic and the tea side. The itinerary assumes HSR in/out of Wuyishan North and a hotel near the scenic area's south gate.

  • 2 Days in Wuyishan for Scenic Core and Tea

Two days in Wuyishan is enough if you stay near the south gate and don't waste the first afternoon on travel. The plan assumes arrival on day 0 evening and departure on day 2 evening.

  • 2 Days in Putian for Mazu and Quiet Coast

Two days is enough for Putian if you come by high-speed rail from Fuzhou (30 min) or Quanzhou (30 min). The shape is simple: one full day on Meizhou Island, one half-day on the mainland temples, and a half-day for travel in/out or a Jiuli Lake side trip.

  • 3 Days in Xiamen for First-Time Visitors

Three days is the sweet spot for Xiamen if it's your first visit and you want to see the headliners without rushing. The itinerary assumes you land at Gaoqi Airport (or Xiamen North Station) on day 0 and leave on day 4.

  • 4 Days from Xiamen to Tulou and Heritage Towns

This itinerary is the "best of Fujian on one pass" — if you only have four days, this covers the island city, the Hakka tulou roundhouses, and the Song-dynasty port of Quanzhou in a route that doesn't double-back.

  • 2 Days in Fuzhou for Old Lanes and Riverfront Time

This is a 2-day plan built around walking distance and the Min River's rhythm. It assumes you fly into Changle International Airport on day 0 and continue to Xiamen, Wuyi Mountain or Quanzhou on day 3.
