Itinerary
This is a 2-day plan built around walking distance and the Min River's rhythm. It assumes you fly into Changle International Airport on day 0 and continue to Xiamen, Wuyi Mountain or Quanzhou on day 3.
Day 1 — Old Fuzhou
- Morning: Arrive from the airport via Metro F1 (Binhai Express) → transfer to Line 1 → Dongjiekou Exit C. Check in around Gulou/Wusi Road (hot-spring hotels here if you want a soak).
- Late morning: Walk Sanfang Qixiang — Langguan Lane, Guanglu Lane, the Lin Zexu Memorial Hall (20 min on foot).
- Lunch: Fish balls and taichi taro puree near Nanhou Street.
- Afternoon: West Lake Park — 1,700-year-old classical garden, rent a boat for 40 min.
- Evening: Minjiang Night Cruise from Xindou Wharf (1.5 h classic or 2 h cultural).
Day 2 — River, Hill, Architecture
- Morning: Taxi or Metro to Yantai Hill — the "World Architecture Expo Park" with 150+ buildings from 17 countries, best photographed before 10:00.
- Lunch: A Bib Gourmand spot on or near Yantai Hill (see the 2025 MICHELIN Fujian list).
- Afternoon: Choose one — (a) Gu Shan and Yongquan Temple for a nature half-day, or (b) Foochow Arsenal Cultural Park for early-modern naval history.
- Dinner: Buddha Jumps Over the Wall at Ju Chun Yuan (book at least 1 day ahead).
Day 3 onwards: High-speed rail south — Quanzhou (50 min), Xiamen (1h45) or Wuyi Mountain (1h30).
