Gushi Cliff Coffee

Gushi Cliff Coffee (鼓石崖咖啡) opened on 1 October 2025 in a former fishing village in Lianjiang County, about 90 minutes from central Fuzhou. By early 2026, it was the single most-posted Fujian destination on Xiaohongshu and Douyin — and it's as real as the photos suggest.

The 398-yuan experience pack includes: guided via ferrata descent down a 130-metre cliff (metal rungs, full harness and coach), a wooden bench seat perched 70 metres above the sea, a brewed coffee, and a photo session. On clear days you can see the Matsu Islands (Taiwan) and streetlights across the strait at dusk.

Practical: Book at least 1 week ahead — 10,000+ packs sold in the first few months. Min age 14, max weight ~100 kg, no serious fear of heights. Closed in strong wind or rain. Reach the village by DiDi (~350 CNY one-way) or rental car. Nearby Gushi has emerged as a full rural-tourism stop with bubble-tea shops, homestays and tent camping.
